It generally affects children under five years old..

Only two countries are considered endemic: Afghanistan and Pakistan.

More than 2.5 billion children worldwide have been vaccinated

The number of cases has been reduced by more than 99.9%.

Global cultural and sports solidarity event against polio, organized by Rotary Clubs Rotary has been working consistently since 1985 to eradicate this disease and is very close to achieving the goal of eradicating it worldwide.
